The Finneytown Local School District has been notified by the State of Ohio Department of
Education that it is eligible to receive $618,310.24 in federal grant funds for special education
and $12,398.82 in federal grant funds for early childhood special education. These dollars are
made available under the provisions of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, as an
incentive to expand and improve services for students with disabilities, including preschool
children with disabilities and students with disabilities attending nonpublic schools within school district boundaries.
