Kindergarten registration begins March 2

Parents can register their children at Brent Elementary School on March 2, 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., or Mondays, Tuesdays or Thursdays at the Finneytown Board Office, 8916 Fontainebleau Terrace, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

 

Starting this fall, children must be age 5 by Aug. 1, 2017, to enroll in kindergarten.

Parents should bring the following materials with them to registration. (The process cannot begin without these materials.):

  • Child's official birth certificate, which must have a raised seal.
  • Updated immunization record, on a doctor's office stationery.
  • Current Duke Energy bill, addressed to the parent or guardian at a Finneytown address.
  • Custody papers, if applicable.
  • Proof of residence in the Finneytown Local School District, which must include one of the following:

            1. An apartment lease, which must include date of lease and names of the child and parents or guardians.

            2. Mortgage statement or payment book, which must include names of parents or guardians and Finneytown address.

           3. Hamilton County property tax bill, which must include names of parents or guardians and Finneytown address.

           4. Title/deed for Finneytown property, which must include names of parents or guardians and Finneytown address.
