Happy Friday Brent Families!

March Madness is here! Best of luck to local teams UC and XU tonight. 

We had a lot of green throughout our school yesterday, Leprechaun “traps” were set as well.  They can be tricky to catch!

March 23rd- Community Input Session:  Superintendent’s Search @ SC LMC 6:30 PM

March 24th- Dr. Seuss Reading Night at Brent (K and Pre-K) from 6:30-8:00 PM

March 28th-April 1st- Spring Break:  NO SCHOOL for students

April 4th- Staff In-Service Day:  NO SCHOOL for students

April 5th- School Resumes

April 6th- ElementaryPrincipal’s Coffee in Brent MC 6:00-7:00 PM

April 6th- PTA Meeting in Brent Media Center @ 7:00 PM

April 7th- Report Cards Sent Home (Grades 1 and 2)

April 8th- Family Involvement Meeting in Whitaker MC @ 4:00 PM

April 18th- BOE Meeting in SC LMC 7:30 PM

April 21st- World Culture Night @ Brent 6:30-8:00 PM

We are running very low on paper towels and hand sanitizer.  If you are interested in donating to your classroom, please send these items in with your child, or drop them off in the office.  Thank you!


The Superintendent’s Advisory Committee meeting scheduled on March 23rd will not take place.  Instead, we invite you to join members of our Board of Education in a conversation regarding the district’s Superintendent’s search.  This community input session will take place on Wednesday, March 23rd at 6:30pm in the Secondary Campus Media Center.


We are very excited for next Thursday, March 24th, as we will be hosting our Dr. Seuss Reading Night from 6:30-8:00.  Please see the link below for our flyer and for more information!

Mrs. Tenbarge and I are excited to host a Principal’s Coffee before the April Elementary PTA Meeting on Wednesday, April 6th in the Brent Media Center from 6:00-7:00 PM.  Discussion topics from Brent will be planning for the 2016-17 school year, All-Day Kindergarten and Curriculum, and how the new Modular classrooms will be utilized.


Save the Date! World Culture Night is Thursday, April 21st at 6:30pm!  Finneytown families are invited to World Culture Night to celebrate unique cultures of our diverse students! World Culture Night will be held at Brent Elementary School on Thursday, April 21st from 6:30-8:00 PM.
