Congratulations to the incredible Finneytown Marching Band and music staff. The band received a SUPERIOR -- the highest possible rating -- at Sunday's OMEA State Marching Band Contest. Come and cheer the band on at this Saturday's Mid-States Finals at Kings High School.

Local veterans are honored at Honoring Our Veterans grill-out on Nov. 5.

A very special day to honor our veterans

Each year our HONORing Our Veterans cookout and celebration raises funds to send local military veterans on Honor Flights to see their military memorials in Washington D.C. This year's celebration is Sunday, Nov. 5, 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Whitaker Elementary. Veterans eat free; entertainment and live music for everyone!

Understanding and preventing concussions

Each year, up to 2 million American youth suffer concussions while playing sports. On Nov. 9, the Finneytown Secondary PTA presents an informational session, Concussions and our Children, with local chiropractor, Dr. Stephan Moje. The session takes place at 7 p.m. in the PAC.
