A Morning of Food, Music and Connecting the Generations

Posted on: December 11, 2015

As it is every year, the Secondary School's Senior Citizens Brunch and Holiday Concert on Dec. 11 was a time of goodwill and true community. More than 40 seniors enjoyed delicious food and conversation with the National Honor Society members who served it, then moved on to the Performing Arts Center for extraordinary choral music.

For some in attendance, the brunch has been a holiday tradition for years. In photo at right are Ramona Leist, a former Finneytown High School home economics teacher who started the brunch in the 1970s; Gay Volz, who took over the tradition when Mrs. Leist retired; and Marilyn Schwarz, who worked in Finneytown Schools as a secretary.
