Another winning season for the marching band!

Posted on: September 18, 2017

Really, who qualifies for state finals at the FIRST marching band contest of the season? The Finneytown Marching Band, of course! Check out this video and read on for all the glorious details!

The Marching Wildcats took first place in Class B at Saturday's Tipp City contest, guaranteeing themselves a spot in the OMEA Marching Band State Finals later this fall. The band took first place in Class B. It also received the highest music score from noted judge George Edge -- former Grove City Schools' band director -- outscoring schools with enrollments from 1,700 to 2,700.

FHS's band of 80 outperformed bands twice and three times its size in multiple categories, including music, visual and color guard performance.

Excellence in the performing and visual arts is a Finneytown tradition. Thank you, band members and directors, for carrying it forward this year!
