Finneytown Local School Staff Connect

with Students Prior to the School Year

What do students most look forward to when they head back to school? Many answer getting to see past teachers and meeting their new teachers. Well, Finneytown Local students had that special opportunity on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 as FLSD staff visited the neighborhoods in the district to greet students and families. More than 60 staff members, band members, and administrators boarded buses that transported them to Galbraith Pointe apartments, Central Park, View Place, areas around Brent Elementary, Whitaker Elementary, Brentwood Shopping Center, and other parts of town.  Members of the drumline played to encourage students and their families to come out and greet those walking the neighborhoods. Teachers, Counselors, Principals, and many others shared their excitement for the new school year with the children. Many of the children came running out to hug their past teachers and greet their new ones.
