Spring Sports Signings: "Outstanding Athletes, but even Better Human Beings"

Posted on: April 22, 2016

As coaches praised their effort and their character, three top Finneytown athletes signed college letters of intent on April 20. Congratulations to two new Eagles and one new Blue Knight!

Tess Enderle will play soccer for Cincinnati Christian University, a NAIA Division II university. "Her heart is to play in the field, but we really needed her at goal, and she did that for the team," said her coach, Karen Wood. "At Cincinnati Christian, she's going to be an impact player right away."

Perez Rankin will play football for Urbana University, a NCAA Division II university an hour west of Columbus. "Perez transferred from LaSalle, and he came in and did everything we asked him to do -- learning quarterback, showing this huge passion for the game," said his coach, Ryan Hubbard. "The thing I admire the most is his ability to get things done."

Delshon Watson will play football for Cincinnati Christian University. "What stood out about Delshon was his work ethic and his desire to get to the football," said Coach Hubbard. "Working with a quality person like Delshon made me a better person."

"I've been fortunate to coach all three of these students," Coach Hubbard told a roomful of family, friends and supporters. "All of them are outstanding athletes, but even better human beings."
