Theresa Noe Named New Superintendent of Finneytown Local School District

Posted on: May 12, 2016

The Finneytown Board of Education is pleased to announce the selection of Mrs. Theresa Noe as superintendent of schools.

Currently the principal of Jacob Coy Middle School in Beavercreek City Schools, Mrs. Noe has 10 years of experience in administration and has worked in buildings PreK-12. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting, a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction and expects to complete a doctorate in educational leadership this December. She holds PK-6 and 7-12 principal certification as well as superintendent certification and has worked in both large and small school districts.

The board made the selection on the basis of Mrs. Noe’s character, personal and professional skills, academic qualifications and experience, along with feedback from community members and district staff and administrators. Her strong work ethic, belief in empowering staff and building trust, and her desire to come to Finneytown were all part of the board’s decision.

Mrs. Noe has accepted a two-year contract, as well as a summer consulting contract that will allow her to work with Mr. Olverson to lead the district through this transition. In addition, the board will also engage an experienced executive coach – who could be a veteran superintendent – to work with Mrs. Noe through her first year as superintendent, to develop executive skills and to support her as she establishes a plan to guide the district forward.

The board invites you to a reception at 6:30 p.m. before the May 23 board meeting to welcome Mrs. Noe. It will take place in the Secondary Media Center. The board plans to approve her contract at the board meeting.
