Finneytown High School will celebrate and honor the academic excellence of a select group of 10 young men and women at an Academic Signing Day on Monday, May 14, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. The top 10 students at Finneytown High School have to date amassed 165 honors and AP school courses, earned weighted GPAs from 4.66 to 5.05 and have been offered $2,531,542 in scholarships.
On Monday, May 14, they will make declarations of the college/university of their choice.These students will be honored in the Secondary Campus Media Center on the Finneytown Secondary Campus at a ceremony reminiscent of athletic signing ceremonies.
Finneytown High School’s top 10 students (in alphabetical order) for the 2012 school year, and the schools they are attending, are:

During the event, the students will have the opportunity to announce the colleges they applied to, where they were accepted, and where they have chosen to attend. Representatives from the universities will be in attendance to congratulate their new students.
“We need to celebrate all our students who are going on to the next level,” said Mr. Jack Fisher, principal of Finneytown High School. “We want to recognize these students who are good citizens at Finneytown High School, have completed four years and made a decision to continue their education on the next level.”
The criteria for selection for the students to be honored were determined by the Finneytown High School administration and guidance counselors. The Finneytown High School Class of 2012 is comprised of many seniors who have achieved a high level of academic success.
