College Credit Plus

Ohio's College Credit Plus (CCP) can help students earn college and high school credits at the same time by taking college courses from community colleges or universities.  The purpose of this programs is promote rigorous academic pursuits and to provide a wide variety of options to college-ready students.

Students interested in CCP are allowed to take classes from any participating Ohio University or College. Historically, Finneytown students have taken classes at Cincinnati State, UC Blue Ash, Miami Hamilton and Cincinnati Christian University.

Taking a college course from a public college or university College Credit Plus is free.  That means no cost for tuition, books or fees.  If you choose to attend a private college or university, you may have limited costs.

Students who are interested in College Credit Plus should complete the following tasks:   

  1. Research the college where they would like to take CCP Classes including learning about the college's deadlines and admission criteria for the program.  **Deadlines are different for each college**.
  2. Complete all admission steps to the college you have chosen for the CCP Program.
  3. Complete a letter of intent form and return it to your counselor by April 1, 2017.
  4. Meet with your counselor towards the end of May to discuss your 2017-2018 schedule in detail.
