Whitaker Elementary's annual HONORing Our Veterans cookout and celebration on Nov. 5 recognized 13 local military members whose combined service spanned more than 60 years. The event raised $700+ to send military veterans on Honor Flights.

Local veterans are honored at Honoring Our Veterans grill-out on Nov. 5.

A very special day to honor our veterans

Each year our HONORing Our Veterans cookout and celebration raises funds to send local military veterans on Honor Flights to see their military memorials in Washington D.C. This year's celebration is Sunday, Nov. 5, 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Whitaker Elementary. Veterans eat free; entertainment and live music for everyone!
